Rex Varner is an independent management consultant providing strategic advisory and project support services. He has spent his career developing and implementing solutions for complex organizations across the private and public sectors. Previously, he was the COO of the Rodel Foundation. Prior to that, he built his expertise as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, Corporate Executive Board, Bellwether Education Partners, and Accenture. Rex also served as the Vice President for Strategy and Administration at Teach For America. In addition to his consulting practice, Rex is a Trustee and the Treasurer of the Biggs Museum of American Art.
His advisory clients include tech companies, foundations, national and state governments, nonprofit start-ups, advocacy organizations, and education policy and service providers. His experience in the private sector has focused on financial services with a specialization in technology and operations in the US and globally.
Rex earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the College of William & Mary with a B.A in Economics. He is also a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Mali '93-'95).
